About Christina

I am A professional musician that plays Flute, Piccolo, Tin Whistle, Recorder, Clarinet (including Eb and Bass), Saxophone (including Soprano, Alto and Tenor), Oboe, and Piano. I have performed all over the US and Europe, and have performed with artists such as IL Divo, Supertramp, Indigo Girls, Celtic Thunder, Frankie Valli, Video Games Live, and Alan Parsons Project. I have also played with numerous theatre companies and national tours. I am also a music instructor and I teach students from age 4 to adult as well as a web developer.

I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Music Performance In May of 2009 at the University of Florida, where I studied under Mitchell Estrin, a former Assistant Principle Clarinetist of the New York Philharmonic. During this time, I received the Amott Clarinet Award and the Study Abroad Scholarship. In the summer, I studied abroad in Salzburg Austria, where I studied Music History and clarinet with Ferdinand Steiner, the Principle Clarinetist of the Mozarteum Orchestra. At the conclusion of the summer I performed at the Mirabel Palace. In the following summers I attended the Buffet Summer Clarinet Academy in 2007 and 2008, where I received lessons from Mark Nuccio, Lawrie Bloom, Pascual Martinez Forteza, Greg Raden, Victoria Luperi, Eugene Mondie, and Ronald Van Spaendonck.

In May of 2011, I obtained a Masters degree in Music Performance at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where I studied under Thomas Thompson, the Assistant Principle of the Pittsburgh Symphony. While there, I performed with the Carnegie Mellon University Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, Contemporary Ensemble, and Chamber Ensemble. During this time I received a full fellowship from the university as well as a student travel award to travel to the years ClarinetFest. During my studies I also worked as the Teachers Assistant in Music Theory.

I currently live in Northeastern Ohio. I specialize in performing and teaching of piano and all the woodwind instruments. I am a member of a local avant gaurde band where I play multiple saxophones, clarinet and electronic wind instrument. In the past I was a member of the celtic band Tarbolton. I have been featured on numerous albums including, a re-revamp of the Christmas Wrapping and I know what girls want with the 80s band the Waitresses, The Tarbolton Band Album, and The Univeristy of Florida Clarinet Ensemble.

I am currently performing as a soloist and a woodwind doubler. I have performed with IL Divo on their 2012 world tour. I accompianied Rodger Hodgson the voice of Supertramp and his band on stage. I have also performed on stage with other touring artists such as the the Indigo Girls, the Alan Parsons Project, Disney at the Movies tour, Zelda Symphony, Video Games Live, and Frankie Valli, I have also performed with The South Shore Symphony in Sun City and the Imperial Symphony in Lakeland. I have been featured as a guest Clarinet soloist with the Pinellas Park Symphony twice and the Suncoast Symphony. I was also the former associate principle clarinetist in the Suncoast Symphony.

I have played in many theatre style productions including a "cirque style" production called "The Girlie Show" as well as "South Pacific" and "La Cage Aux Follies" with the 8-Oclock Theater, "Mikado" with the FreeFall Theatre, "Good Luck Charlie Brown" with the Mad Theatre, and a local production of "Once Upon a Mattress". I have also performed on a national tour with the Nebraska Theater Caravan's "A Christmas Carol" musical in 2013, 2016-2019. In the Summer of 2017 I performed with the Lake Dillon Theatre company at their new performing arts center in Silverthrone Colorado. We performed Sister Act and Ghost the Musical as well as Cabaret performances. In 2018 I have also performed with the Cassidy Theatre's Production of Chorus Line. In the summer of 2018 I peformed with the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre in Grand Lake Colorado. While there I performed A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Annie, and A Full Monty.
